NERVBOY ist kein Google-Produkt und steht in keiner offiziellen Verbindung zu Google LLC oder Google Chrome Labs. Der integrierte Drum-Sequencer heißt in der App PULSE und nutzt Material aus einem öffentlichen Open-Source-Demo-Projekt (siehe unten).

Teile der Drum-Sequencer-Implementierung und der mitgelieferten Drum-Sample-Kits stammen aus dem Projekt Web Audio Samples (historische Demo „Shiny Drum Machine“), Copyright Google Inc., bereitgestellt unter einer BSD-ähnlichen Lizenz. Der Produktname in NERVBOY lautet PULSE — nicht der Name der Upstream-Demo.
